Hanson’s Corporate/Group Fly Fishing Boot Camp

Held at our private River House on the Bow River within half an hour of downtown Calgary and on one of the best stretches of water on the entire 50 mile Bow River system.

Group and corporate fly fishing events are held throughout the spring, summer and fall months and have proven to be an extremely popular way to spend a relaxing day with clients, teams and friends.

Some fly fishing schools like to teach in the classroom in what we call ‘the old school setting’ we find that this intimidates new students, learning to fly fish is similar to learning how to drive a car – you need to master the basics in a comfortable setting like the local waters you will be fishing.

There is no set curriculum or old fashioned classroom-textbook section to our fly fishing Boot Camp; it is an interactive, non intimidating new school approach to teaching the sport of Fly Fishing. The river is our classroom.

Ideal for up to 50 people, our schools teach you all of the basics you need to learn, casting, the mechanics of the fly cast, entomology, knots, leaders, fly lines, reading the water and on the water instruction and even lunch, our knowledgeable instructors will ensure you learn in a comfortable setting.

At our Boot Camp you don't leave with a notebook that costs $150.00, Everybody leaves with a personalized complete fly-fishing outfit consisting of a fly rod, fly reel and fly line and the knowledge of how to use it, a value of over $300.00

Our corporate Boot Camp events can be customized to suit your companies’ needs, enjoy a BBQ lunch with all the extras by the  Bow River.
