LPXe series flyrods have been voted the no. #1 rod in a test including more than 60 flyrods,

including several of the worlds leading brands. The test was published in Scandinavia’s

largest sportfishing magazine,”Fiske För Alla”.

The LPXe rods are the brainchild of Guideline head designer; Leif Stävmo.

Accuracy, feeling, performance, diversity, and exceptional value for money were the

goals that were set up for this project. To put it simple; we wanted to create the best damned

value for the money, flyrods in the world! And as they say; “The rest is history”.

 Upon releasing the series last spring, we knew that this was more than just another good flyrod.

The response from both stores and flyfishermen around Scandinavia came more or

less immediately. These pieces of graphite have been a true success since

they day they were born.Demands from the market during last season were larger

than the supply and we had a tuff timetrying to get new rods produced. It was all about ”

my friend has one”, ”I tried my brothers”, ”my casting approved at once”.

We have improved some models and added a couple of new rods, to make the line-up even stronger.

The LPXe Series is a very important part in our philosophy, to create high-end flyfishing

products that have the ability to make our customers, as well as ourselves

better and more skilful flyfishermen.

The LPXe blanks are produced in high modulus graphite, containing several special graphite

blends for each model. These rods are lightweight and strong. With the natural and rough

graphite blank they are nothing but hardcore. The lightweight rods are equipped with

lightweight, black wooden reelseats, while the heavier rods have tough aluminium reelseats

in titanium finish. Nothing but the best quality cork has been chosen for the handles.

Stripper guides have Hardloy inserts. 5 weights and lower have snakes and 6

and aboveare hard chrome single foot guides. All rods are delivered in a Cordura tube

with cloth bag for the rod. There is a total of 14 different rods to chose from, all

individually designed with the love and care from your friends at Guideline.

Inspired by and projected from our Guidelines own successful LPXe and LeCie rods, the new

ACT4 Series sees the light of day after nearly two years of R&D.

The process has taken us through countless factories, before finally settling for the one

we thought would have the skills to produce the most awesome rods in their price range.

The end result is impressive to say the least. We are confident anglers of all ages and skills

will find these 4-piece rods not only worth the money, but also a joy to fish and grow

with for a long time.

The design has taken advantage of advanced Japanese carbon cloths and resins.

Components have been carefully selected and to be sure, we have used our own custom

designed aluminum and wooden reelseats as used on our famous LPXe flyrods.

Actions in ACT4 rods can be described as being in the medium fast to fast range with a responsive

tip that makes casting effortless and easy, without sacrificing accuracy or the ability to load the

rod into the handle when needed. All rods are 4-piece and have been inspired by the award

winning actions in our classic LPXe flyrods.

The blank

Each rod has its own unique mix of carbon cloths depending on characteristics and the effects

we want to extract out of each blank.  This method aids in manufacturing blanks with a nice,

lightweight, small diameter and a great fit.  ACT4 rods are finished in a glossy Olive/Brown

color with matching wrappings and trim.  Each rod section is individually marked with the rod

length and weight, to avoid mix-up of parts. This also helps when aligning your parts during

assembly of the rod.

The handle

Cork handles of seriously good quality for the price are finished with rubber cork endings

for extra reinforcement and durability.  Fighting butts are kept small, yet smooth and comfortable

when needed for playing large fish. Handles for the two handed rods have a straight timeless look

that is well proven from years of Scandinavian salmon fishing with the spey rod.

 The reelseats

Rods up to lineweight #5 are fitted with beautiful, light weight wooden reelseats with aluminium

parts. The dark burled wood has a soft satin finish and matches the color of the blank superbly,

All other rods have our custom made GUIDELINE aluminium reelseats that are extremely light

weight, good looking and saltwater resistant.  Salmon rods are mounted with down locking

reelseats to make sure the balance of the rod is impressive and correct.

The guides

All rods with the exception of 9’ #8 and #9 rods are mounted with single leg hard chrome guides.

Stripper guides are finished in hard chrome with gold insert, which is matching the golden olive

color of the reelseats nicely.

The rod tube and bag

Lightweight nylon covered tubes protect the rods during transport. Nice, soft rod bag makes

sure they remain unscratched inside the tube.

ExP3 Fly Rods

Based on the success of our Explorer Flyfishing Kits that have gained recognition

Europe wide,we have been encouraged to venture into a budget Flyrod project worthy

of the name GUIDELINE. The brand new EXP3 series is aimed at beginners or

intermediate flyfishers looking for a fast action,lightweight and tough no nonsense

flyrod that will provide lots of fun,both when casting and playing fish. There are five

different models of rods in the EXP3 Series,covering the most common fishing from

lineweight 4-8.  Actions in EXP3 rods can be described as medium fast to fast with

a light, responsive tip that makes casting effortless and easy. These rods load easily,

also when the timing of the casting stroke isn’t perfect.

All rods are 4-piece.

The blank

These rods are manufactured from different blends of carbon cloth in different parts of the blank.

This method aids in manufacturing rods with a nice, lightweight, small diameter and a great fit. 

EXP3 rods are finished in a metallic Rust color with matching wrappings and trim. 

Each rod section is individually marked with the rod length and weight, to avoid mix-up of parts.

This also helps when aligning your parts during assembly of the rod.

The handle

The reelseats

in hard chrome with gold insert.

The rod tube and bag

All rods come with Moss green nylon covered tubes and nice, soft rod bags in green color.
