All Bauer reels are precision machined 100% aerospace bar stock aluminum and stainless steel construction for
 maximum strength and corrosion protection. Sealed precision stainless steel ball bearings are used, with no plastic parts
or bushings. The large arbor spools have an exposed palming rim for additional control and a quick release mechanism.
The patented Bauer "zero-backlash" drag clutch makes a seamless engagement of the large diameter Cork/FXB polymer
disc drag which delivers ultra smooth low startup inertia. This system yields a silent retrieve with a crisp outgoing click.
